About Us - John Fitzgerald Profile
|
Who is John Fitzgerald?
|
John Fitzgerald is a self-made Australian success story.
At the age of 17, with no tertiary education and $200 in his pocket, he started out in the real estate business. He learned, the hard way, how to build sustainable wealth. (And how not to...)
At 18, he had syndicated over $5 million in developments. At 19, he started a new national property magazine (Property Weekly Update). And today, the JLF Corporation Group has a turnover, in property and finance, of more than $100 million per annum.
John himself has bought, sold and developed over 5,000 properties, and has amassed an extensive residential and commercial investment portfolio. The point is, he's not an academic theorist: he has successfully built and sustained wealth using the knowledge, skills and techniques which he now shares, Australia-wide, with clients, workshop participants and readers from all walks of life.
John is the author of two books, the best-selling Seven Steps to Wealth (All the things they don't tell you about property investment) and We Can Be Heroes (Seven stories from the Road to inner wealth). He has also published the powerful multi-media educational program Untold Wealth: Success from Scratch and motivational program Signposts to Success.

Building wealth with purpose - the Custodian way
|
At 26, John realised in a new way that those who are wealthy have a responsibility to those who are not; that we are custodians of the world's wealth in society. Through the Custodian WealthBuilders Group, established in 1997, he made the link between wealth building, personal development and proactive contribution. Building wealth with purpose - and educating and supporting other Australians in doing the same.
|
Sharing knowledge, skills and techniques to build your investment goals
|
John brings with him a lifetime of experience and passion in the property industry. He conducts regular seminars and client weekends to ensure he shares that knowledge, skills and tools with ordinary Australians who want to become extraordinary WealthBuilders. Investing in people, not just in property
|
John is the chairman and founding benefactor of the Toogoolawa Childrens' Home Ltd., which has to date fostered more than 100 youth at risk or wards of state, and runs three unique schools for students who have dropped (or been pushed) out of the mainstream education system. This is the passion that drives Custodian Wealth Building: investing in people, not just in property...
John has been featured on ABC TV's 7.30 Report and Australian Story for his work with Toogoolawa. He is also rather proud of a 2000 Australian Sports Medal for achievements in polo. He is an avid hiker - and often uses his skills (in this and other areas) to challenge the Toogoolawa kids!
It's all part of what John sees as a journey. A journey to discover what he was put here to be and do, to learn and teach.
But that's another story. In a way...
